Roald Dahl is proving very popular in Year 1!
Book Week has been a roller coaster so far in Year 1! We’ve been reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in class, talking about Willy Wonka and his marvellous kinds of chocolate! We then invented our own magical chocolate and made posters advertising it!
We had Year 5 coming to our class to do some buddy reading and today we had our House events, with the children completing a book quiz in the hall!
In Maths this week, we’ve been looking at 3D shapes, discussing the corners, edges and faces of spheres, cylinders and cubes.
And in Phonics we’ve learned about the sounds /ue/, /oe/ and the i-e split digraph.
Have a lovely half term!
