24.02.10 NEAR MISS TRAFFIC ACCIDENT
Yesterday one of our children escaped by centimetres a very nasty traffic accident due to selfish, unlawful parking.
I am asking all parents to help. If you do see any vehicles (whether occupied or not) parked on zig zag or double yellow lines, at the Ellingham Road entrance, please take the vehicle registration number and report it to the office (do not approach the driver).
I am involving not only the Borough traffic co-ordinator but also our local attached police officer (Jackie Prior) regarding this.
Luckily more and more parents are walking to school which is great from the health and safety angle. However, I am aware a few parents are parking selfishly putting your child in danger.
Thank you for your anticipated help.
